Springfield, along I-70 east of Dayton, and the smaller, more rural Wapakoneta and Celina further northwest (Auglaize and Mercer counties, oriented toward the Lima/Grand Lake St. Marys area) round out this catch-all West Central Ohio region. Housing is genuinely affordable throughout -- Dayton's own average home value runs roughly 44% below the Ohio statewide average.
